8:15 P.M. THURSDAY, IN SUZANNE’S ROOM

Sheila, Elaine B., Shawn, Melissa and Mary and I all went down the shore today. We saw Jed for a brief while. He had previous plans so we really couldn’t get together with him. We had such a fun day! Mary called me up last night and invited me. I slept over her house. Mary, Sheila and I stayed up until around 2:100 A.M. and talked about people at Vail-Deane. We got up at ten to eight, got dressed, and waited for Elaine and Melissa to come. Then we went to Foodtown to buy munchies and a Styrofoam cooler for $1.69. We went to Dunkin Donuts, gas, saw Ms. Lee driving in her car and drived around looking for a liquor store (of course). I brought two bottle of Molson’s golden left over from Saturday night with Mary and Melissa. Mary, Sheila and I drank them last night. Then I also brought almost a full 1.5 liter bottle of Chablis. Our liquor stores weren’t open, but finally we drove around Elizabeth long enough so that the little liquor store in the back woods somewhere in old Elizabethtown were open. They sent me in because I never have a problem with buying liquor. Sheila came with me to help me carry the case of Miller, quart of Old English and what have you. I bought myself a bottle of Yago Sangria. I didn’t want any beer. Oh, that Sangria was so good. I had Sangria, lots of Sangria at my New Year’s Eve party. I was dying for Sangria yesterday in New York. I don’t drink it a lot but I sure drank it like water today. I had so much Sangria the night before the first day of sophomore year. I was with mom and Woody and I got so, so drunk. I was laughing all the way to the theatre. I wanted a buzz yesterday in New York, so badly. I got buzzed but not on Sangria. Elaine K. and I ordered a carafe of wine. It was so lousy. (Anyway – I lost track of where I was – I was talking about today). So, Sheila and I brought the beer and shit back to the car and drove off. We had to go back to Mary’s to wait for Shawn. We watched Phil Donohue. These transsexuals were on. It was really interesting to observe my friends’ reaction to “that sort of thing.” Women changed to men – I’d never be able to tell.
