Roots anchor a plant, absorb water and minerals, and store excess food. Both fibrous and taproot systems are found among angiosperms.

30 more seconds. By the time I wrote this we had 18 more seconds.

GEOMETRY - Where's Ellen? I must call. More studying.

Leaves can be characterized by their vein patterns, by whether they are simple or compound, and by their arrangement.

Angiosperms are divided into dicots and monocots. These groups differ in number of catyledons per seed, number of flower parts, shape of leaves, vein patterns, and arrangement of vascular bundles.

Guard cells control the size of the stomata which helps regulate water loss.

If I could only get down to 150 lb. it would be so easy after that. 30 -30. I could fit in so many pairs of pants. I remember last spring I wanted to lose a lot of weight. And the spring before that, and the spring before that.

P.S. I forgot what I was going to write.

(Author's note: Miss Kocher, my biology teacher, was my favorite teacher. I truly respected her for her knowledge and her teaching abilities and I often did well on her tests. So this was probably the one class I knew I could pass if I stayed focused. Hence, I seem to have taken more notes in this class then any of the others. The two classes I hated most were history and math. I was never that good at math, but in later life I did develop an extreme love for history and I did have 3 excellent history teachers in high school: Ms. Blasier, Mr. Viall, and Mr. Ambrose. They were ALL excellent and I missed a great opportunity at that age of actually learning something from them, but at the time, I just couldn't concentrate on much. So I stayed focused on what I knew I could do well in - Biology, Latin and English).
